Artem Chelyadinskiy - Belarusian Footballer, Defender, and Coach
Artem Chelyadinskiy is a Belarusian footballer, defender, and coach. He began playing football at the age of 6 and was trained at the Minsk SDYUSHOR Dynamo. Chelyadinskiy has played for Minsk Dynamo and Saratov Sokol during his career. In 2003, he joined Metallurg Zaporizhzhia, where he served as captain for several years. In winter 2009, Chelyadinskiy moved to Tobol Kostanay, signing a contract on a "1+1" scheme. He left Metallurg Zaporizhzhia due to disagreements with the club's management regarding contract extensions. In March 2010, he joined Naftan Novopolotsk, and in winter 2011, he transferred to Shakhtyor Soligorsk. With Shakhtyor, he reached the final of the Commonwealth Cup in 2011, where they lost to Inter Baku from Azerbaijan (0-0 in regular time, 5-6 on penalties).
Club Career
In January 2012, Chelyadinskiy signed a contract with Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino, where he became the main central defender and one of the leaders of the team. He served as the team's captain during the 2012 season but relinquished the captaincy to Dmitry Shchegrikovich in the following season. In June 2014, he suffered an injury that kept him out of the game until the end of the 2014 season. In January 2015, Chelyadinskiy extended his contract with Zhodino. He began the 2015 season on the bench but regained his place in the starting lineup in August. In February 2016, he renewed his agreement with the club. In August 2016, Chelyadinskiy terminated his contract with Torpedo and signed as a free agent with Minsk Dynamo. He became the team's main central defender and served as captain in several matches. He left the club in December after his contract expired.
On January 31, 2017, Chelyadinskiy joined Krumkachy. He served as the team's captain and, after missing the start of the season, solidified his place in the starting lineup. In November 2017, he announced his retirement. In May 2021, as an amateur player, he played one match in the Belarusian Cup for Uzda, a team in the Second League.
International Career
Chelyadinskiy has represented the Belarus national team in several matches.
Coaching Career
In January 2018, Chelyadinskiy joined the coaching staff of Minsk Dynamo's reserve team and took over as head coach in July of the same year. He led the team to victory in the 2018 reserve championship with a record number of points and also won the championship in 2020.
In June 2021, following the resignation of Leonid Kuchuk, Chelyadinskiy was appointed as the interim head coach of Minsk Dynamo's main team. In December, he was confirmed as the head coach of the club. In November 2022, he stepped down as the head coach of Minsk Dynamo but remained within the club's structure.
Achievements
Artem Chelyadinskiy is the winner of the Belarusian Cup in the 2015/16 season and a finalist in the Ukrainian Cup in the 2005/06 season.
