Early Life and Career
Evgeny Olegovich Kasyanov, a Ukrainian footballer, began his journey into the world of football at the tender age of six in Stakhanov, Ukraine. His early training was under the指導 of coach A. M. Muzyka at the DUSSH sports school, laying the foundation for his future success.
Professional Career
Early Ukrainian ClubsFrom 1997 to 2000, Kasyanov honed his skills at Dynamo Stakhanov before moving on to several other Ukrainian clubs. He represented Stal and Stal-2 from Alchevsk, Metallurg Donetsk, and Kharkiv.
Stellar Success in Kazakhstan
In July 2009, Kasyanov joined the ranks of the Odessa-based Chernomorets. However, a change in the managerial staff led to a reduced role for him in the starting lineup. In 2010, he made the move to Kazakhstan, where he would find his true stride.
For six seasons, Kasyanov was a pivotal figure in the midfield of FC Ordabasy from Shymkent. As a defensive midfielder, he amassed an impressive 145 appearances and contributed 21 goals in the Premier League. Notably, he played a crucial role in the team's maiden triumph in the 2011 Kazakhstan Cup, scoring twice in six games. He went on to secure the team's first Super Cup in 2012. In the 2014 and 2015 league seasons, Ordabasy finished fourth, with Kasyanov emerging as the club's top scorer with seven goals in 2014. However, a change in management in 2015 resulted in Kasyanov's departure from the club.
Return to Ukraine and Further Club Transitions
In early 2016, Kasyanov returned to Ukraine and joined Metalist Kharkiv. Unfortunately, the club's financial woes forced him to leave by the summer. Despite this setback, he seized the opportunity to enhance his coaching credentials by completing courses in Kyiv and obtaining coaching categories C, B, and A.
Success at FC Zhetysu
Later in 2016, Kasyanov joined FC Zhetysu from Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan. He featured in 17 games and scored twice during the second half of the season. Although Zhetysu was relegated to the First League, Kasyanov's leadership and goal-scoring ability (seven goals in 21 matches) were recognized. In 2017, he led Zhetysu to a resounding victory in the Kazakhstan First League, securing the club's immediate return to the top flight.
Player of the Year Honor and Continued Success
Due to his outstanding performances, Kasyanov was voted Player of the Year in the 2017 Kazakhstan First League by the Kazakhstan Professional Football League (PFL). Despite his success, he declined an extension with Zhetysu and returned to Kharkiv. However, Metalist's financial difficulties persisted.
Recent Years and Accomplishments
