Early Career
At the tender age of 17, Armenian footballer Artur Voskanyan embarked on his professional journey with Zvartnots Echmiadzin. Despite playing 11 matches in his debut season, the club unfortunately faced relegation the following season. Undeterred, Voskanyan moved to FC Van in Yerevan.
Success with FC Tsement
In 1998, Voskanyan joined the rising star FC Tsement. The club achieved an extraordinary golden double that season, winning both the Armenian Premier League and the Armenian Cup. Voskanyan's exceptional performance earned him the accolade of Armenian Footballer of the Year in 1998.
International Debut and Career
Voskanyan made his international debut for the Armenian national team on March 27, 1999, in a Euro 2000 qualifying match against Russia. Throughout his international career, he amassed 52 appearances, scoring one goal against Malta.
Coaching Career
After his retirement as a player on August 13, 2011, Voskanyan transitioned into coaching, accepting a position at his former club.
Personal Life
Voskanyan is married and has two children, a daughter and a son. His younger brother, Ara Voskanyan, also pursued a career in football.
