Arturo Gatti, also known as the "Human Highlight Film," was a professional boxer who achieved great success in the ring. He was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, but has been living in the United States since 1991.

Gatti began his boxing career at the age of eight and turned professional on June 11, 1991. He quickly made a name for himself by winning his first six fights, with four of them ending in first-round knockouts. After a loss to King Solomon in 1992, Gatti went on an impressive winning streak, securing 23 consecutive victories, 19 of which were by knockout.

On June 28, 1994, Gatti won his first world title, the USBA lightweight title, by defeating Pete Taliaferro in the first round. He successfully defended his title seven times before moving up to the junior welterweight division.

Gatti's most memorable fights came in a trilogy against Micky Ward. These three epic battles are widely regarded as one of the greatest trilogies in boxing history. Gatti's relentless determination and ability to rise from the ashes earned him the nickname "The Phoenix."
