Ashley Jones, an American actress, was born on September 3, 1976, in Memphis, Tennessee. Her father, Shawn Jones, was a minister and pastor in Texas. Ashley made her first appearance in a commercial at the age of 5 and discovered her passion for theater at the age of 9. She participated in the Actors Theatre of Houston, performing in plays such as "The Women," "Ah Wilderness," and Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs." At the age of 12, Ashley received enthusiastic reviews for her performance in the play "The Chalk Garden" by Enid Bagnold, where she remained on stage throughout the show.

Ashley's career in television and film began at the age of 15 after graduating from high school for performing and visual arts. Her first TV appearance was in the CBS mini-series "Fire Next Time," where she met her future husband, Noah Nelson.
