Early Life and Legal Career
Born in Paris in 1798, Leboeuf pursued a legal career and became the royal prosecutor in the town of Doullens in 1823. However, he left this post in July 1830 following the July Revolution.

After his departure from the legal profession, Leboeuf served as the mayor of Doullens until his death. It was during this time that he embarked on his archaeological and historical research, focusing on the origins and history of the towns and cities of Picardy.
