Early Life and Education

Aïmene Benabderrahmane was born in Algiers, Algeria, on August 30, 1966. He earned a degree from the National School of Administration.

Career in Finance

Benabderrahmane began his professional career in finance. From 1991 to 2000, he worked in the General Financial Inspectorate of the Algerian Ministry of Finance. In 2001, he became Deputy Director of the Inspectorate. From 2006 to 2010, he served as Chief Financial Inspector.

In 2010, Benabderrahmane joined the Bank of Algeria. By 2019, he had risen to become its Governor.

Minister of Finance

On June 23, 2020, Benabderrahmane was appointed Minister of Finance of Algeria.

Prime Minister

On June 30, 2021, President Tebboune named Benabderrahmane as the Prime Minister of Algeria.

Formation of Government

On July 7, 2021, Benabderrahmane formed his government, consisting of 34 ministers.
