Bahromjon Norkobilov: A Distinguished Uzbek Statesman
Early Life and EducationBahromjon Norkobilov, an eminent Uzbek statesman, was born in 1973 in Kamashi District, Kashkadarya Region. In 1995, he graduated with honors from the Samarkand Agricultural Institute (now the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine).
Career in Veterinary Medicine
Norkobilov's career in veterinary medicine began in 2014 when he was appointed Head of the Main State Directorate of Veterinary Medicine under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He held this position until 2017, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise in animal healthcare.
Appointment as Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine
On June 27, 2017, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing Bahromjon Norkobilov as the Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this role, Norkobilov oversaw the development and implementation of policies to ensure the health and well-being of livestock in the country.
Elevation to Chairman of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine
In March 2019, Norkobilov was appointed Chairman of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this position, he continued to provide strategic direction for the veterinary sector, promoting animal welfare, disease prevention, and food safety.
