Early Life and Education

Barton Cowperthwaite was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He spent parts of his childhood in Arizona and New York City, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe. His girlfriend is a talented jewelry designer named Sophie Toerner.

After graduating from the Denver School of the Arts, Cowperthwaite studied at the Colorado Ballet Academy. In May 2013, he enrolled in the University of Arizona's School of Dance, where he earned a degree specializing in ballet, modern dance, improvisation, hip-hop, tap, jazz, and ballroom dance.

Cowperthwaite is a freelance dancer, actor, and model. He has performed with renowned choreographers such as Lar Lubovitch, Pontus Lidberg, Lindsay Nelko, and Emily Schoen. He is best known for his role as Damon in the third installment of Lifetime's "Center Stage" franchise.
