Early Life and Education
Daniels was born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, to an engineer father and a business-owner mother. He attended Manor Park School before enrolling in Stratford-upon-Avon College in 1982, where he studied Theatre Arts and English Literature for two years. He then graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Acting Career
Breakthrough and Early RolesDaniels made his mark on the American scene with his performance in the 1996 drama film "Beautiful Thing." In the 2005 video game adaptation "Doom," he played the marine corporal Eric "Reaper" Fant, who earned his nickname by carving crosses into his arms as punishment for his sins.
Television and Film Roles
Daniels starred in the TV series "Flesh and Bone" (2015) and "The Exorcist" (2016-2017), portraying the characters of a ballet director and a priest, respectively. He also took on the role of General Antoc Merrick in the "Star Wars" spin-off "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" (2016).
Personal Life
Daniels identifies as gay and was in a long-term relationship with actor Ian Gelder from 1993 until Gelder's passing.
