Bonnie Somerville, an actress and singer, was born in 1974 in New York. She grew up in Brooklyn and attended Poly Prep Country Day School where she discovered her passion for singing. After completing her education at Boston College, she returned home with a degree in music education. However, her true calling was television, and she set out to pursue a career in the industry.
Acting Career
Bonnie Somerville's acting career began with roles in popular television series such as "Beverly Hills, 90210," "NYPD Blue," and "Friends." In 2000, she landed a role in Rob Schmidt's dramatic thriller "Crime and Punishment in Suburbia," and the same year, she joined the cast of the TV show "Grosse Pointe." Her character, Courtney Scott, stood out and helped her gain recognition in several other popular television projects, including "The O.C." where she played Rachel Hoffman.
In 2004, Somerville had the opportunity to be part of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 2," a highly acclaimed film that received numerous awards, including an Oscar. This role brought her a significant amount of popularity. That same year, she appeared in the adventure comedy "Without a Paddle" and later took part in the short-lived TV series "Kitchen Confidential."
In 2006, she played a significant role in Jim Fall's comedy "Wedding Wars," which centered around the homosexuality of the characters. In 2008, she portrayed Caitlin Dowd in the television series "Cashmere Mafia." Alongside Somerville, the band includes Bob Guiney and Teri Hatcher as vocalists, Greg Grunberg on drums, James Denton and Adrian Pasdar on guitars, Hugh Laurie on keyboards, and Jesse Spencer on violin.
