The Girl with Hypertrichosis
The story of this little girl has touched the hearts of many people around the world, filling them with sadness and a sense of injustice. Children should be happy, they should enjoy life, not suffer and wander around persecuted by ignorant and cruel adults. Unfortunately, life often turns out this way. Bhavana Tami was born in a small village in Nepal, 345 kilometers away from Kathmandu. She was born with a rare genetic disorder - half of her face was covered in thick hair. This condition is called hypertrichosis, and in popular culture, it is known as the werewolf syndrome. Understandably, not everyone can accept such a term. As soon as the baby girl was born, she was labeled a "witch," a "monster," and a "werewolf," forcing her parents to hide her from the curious villagers. Soon, the entire family became outcasts. Other children stopped playing with Bhavana's siblings, and her parents faced increasing difficulties every day. Eventually, the village council decided to evict the family with the "werewolf" beyond the settlement limits, and from that moment on, the family's life turned into a nomadic existence.

A Hidden Truth and a Shocking Discovery
Remarkably, Bhavana's father, who loves her dearly, decided it was best not to tell his daughter what exactly caused their family's misfortunes. For the first eight years of her life, he never allowed her to look at herself in the mirror. Thus, Bhavana lived, sincerely unaware of her condition, not understanding how she was so different from other children who avoided her like fire. However, when she turned eight, a journalist took her photograph and thoughtlessly showed the picture to the child. Bhavana was shocked - seeing her own face became the most terrifying experience in her short life, and since then, her eyes seemed to have lost their spark.

Seeking Medical Help
Nevertheless, her parents did not give up. Soon, Bhavana was admitted to the hospital, where doctors examined her. It was then that her diagnosis was revealed, and a decision was made to operate on the girl, removing the unwanted hair from her face. The surgery was performed under general anesthesia, and all the unnecessary hair was removed using laser technology. Bhavana's father sat in the hospital lobby the entire time, unable to contain his excitement. Fortunately, the surgery went well, and Bhavana recovered beautifully. However, the doctors warned her parents that one operation would not be enough. In a year, she would need another surgery, and the next time Bhavana would have to face the surgeons when she turned fourteen.

A Glimpse of Hope
The help of the doctors brought immense relief to Bhavana's parents. For several years, they had only seen curses and persecution. As for Bhavana, she hardly looks happy - from an early age, she was deprived of everything that should be a part of every child's life - a happy childhood. Nevertheless, life slowly started to improve for her. After the surgery, the family returned to their native village, and Bhavana was no longer shunned by the villagers. Interestingly, her sister, Supatra Sasuphan, from Thailand, had a much luckier fate. After the Guinness World Records recognized her as the "Hairiest girl on the planet," people immediately stopped tormenting and mocking her. Supatra became a true star, simply relishing her uniqueness.
