Biography of Biken Rimova
Biken Rimova was born in the village of Krasny Vostok in the Taldykorgan region (now Almaty). She graduated from the Almaty Theater and Art School in 1943 and worked at the Kazakh Academic Drama Theater named after M. Auezov from 1941 until the end of her life. Rimova started her creative career with the role of Enlik in M. Auezov's play "Enlik-Kebek", and her breakthrough role was Korlan in the play "The Song of Triumphant Love". She was honored with the title of People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR in 1966 and received the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in the same year. Rimova was also awarded the Order of Honor and various medals for her contributions to the arts.
