Finesse Mitchell, an American actor, is best known for his role as the outspoken African-American character named Starkeisha on the immensely popular NBC comedy show "Saturday Night Live". He was born on June 12, 1972, in Atlanta, Georgia. Mitchell attended school and had a passion for athletics, particularly football. In 1995, after honing his newfound gift in local stand-up shows, Mitchell won a humor competition. In 1999, he made his first television appearance on BET's "Comic View", quickly gaining popularity among viewers. Mitchell then moved to New York, where he made several appearances on "The Late Late Show" and "Late Night". This led to him receiving numerous invitations for performances at corporate events, concerts, and more, both within and outside of the United States.

A few years later, Mitchell was invited to join the comedic show "Late Friday" (NBC, 2001-02), although not yet on a regular basis. In 2004, he secured a permanent role on the stand-up show "Premium Blend" on the cable channel Comedy Central. Then, fate smiled upon Mitchell as he was offered the opportunity every comedian-actor dreams of. In 2003, producer Lorne Michaels asked him to become one of the actors on the renowned NBC show "Saturday Night Live", initially appearing in individual episodes.

Audiences warmly (to say the least) embraced Mitchell in his most memorable role on "Saturday Night Live" as the talkative "ghetto girl" Starkeisha. He also made an impression on "Weekend Update" with his unique portrayal of African-American names, including his own. In 2005, he became a regular cast member on the show. However, his contract was terminated in 2006.

After achieving success, Mitchell founded his own production company called "Comedy Novas", specializing in the genre of stand-up comedy. He spends most of his time in Los Angeles and New York City, but he has toured clubs across America with his performances. Additionally, Mitchell had a small but memorable role in the film "Who's Your Caddy?" and released a DVD of his performances titled "Snap Famous". He also published a book called "Your Girlfriends Only Know So Much" and has a column in the magazine "Essence".

In 2008, Finesse Mitchell, a comedian, writer, and actor, married Jessica Santos.
