Early Life and Education

Vitaly Yakovlev's journey into the world of acting began in 1972 when he graduated from the Chelyabinsk Theater Studio under the tutelage of Z. A. Aleksandrova. He furthered his acting education at the Chelyabinsk Institute named after Tchaikovsky, where he studied under N. Yu. Orlov.

Early Film Roles

Yakovlev's film debut came in the 1980s, where he primarily portrayed supporting characters. Some of his notable roles during this period included Maleev in "Key," Володя the flight engineer in "Alarm," Kroшкин in "Such a Tough Game - Hockey," and Dubok Rosich in "Young Russia."

Breakthrough Role

In 1988, Vitaly Yakovlev landed his breakthrough role as Vitka Malykh in the social drama "Gray Mouse" directed by Vladimir Shamshurin. His performance in this film garnered critical acclaim.

Later Career

After a hiatus, Yakovlev returned to the film industry in 2010 with a starring role in the short film "Pure Color."
