Biography of Brendan Green

Early Life and Introduction to Biathlon

Brendan Green is a Canadian biathlete who has participated in the Olympic Games in 2010 and 2014. He began skiing at the age of three and developed an interest in biathlon at the age of nine.

Junior Career

Green started his career by participating in territorial and national competitions, which eventually led to his selection for the national junior team. He competed as a part of the junior team for three years and took part in the Junior World Championships in 2005 and 2007. During these championships, Green won silver and bronze medals in the relay event.

Senior Career

In 2007, Green joined the Canadian national senior team. Throughout his career, he has achieved eight podium finishes at the national biathlon championships.

Olympic Games

Green represented Canada at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. He was part of the relay team along with Robin Clegg, Marc-André Bédard, and Jean-Philippe Leguellec, where he ran the third leg. Green also competed in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi.

World Championships

In 2016, Green won a bronze medal in the relay event at the World Championships.

Personal Life and Training

Brendan Green currently resides in Kenmore, Alberta. He trains under the guidance of Matthias Ahrens.
