Early Career

Larson's first roles were in comedy sketches on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." These were short funny videos, similar to the popular Russian show "Nasha Russia." She later moved on to another similar program, which, however, soon ceased to exist. Larson auditioned for a youth comedy on ABC, and although she seemed to have been approved for a role, the producers changed their decision at the last moment and cast another actress.

After that, she took on several episodic roles in movies such as "13 Going on 30" and "Hoot." In 2008, Larson starred alongside Danny DeVito in the romantic comedy "House Broken." However, due to financial disagreements, the film's premiere was postponed indefinitely.

At the age of 12, Larson recorded studio albums, although they were not her own – she provided backup vocals for other artists. It wasn't until 2004 that Larson released her first single, "She Said," which started receiving airplay on radio stations in January 2005. The music video for the song premiered on MTV on April 9 of the same year. "She Said" reached number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the summer of 2005, Larson performed at a major concert for the anniversary of radio station "KISS FM" and subsequently toured with other young artists. On October 18, 2005, she released her debut album, which sold 4,000 copies in the United States.

Currently, Larson is working on her second album. In a blog post on MySpace, she announced that she has already recorded five brand new songs, although the exact release date is unknown.

Recent Work

In addition to her music career, Larson continues to work in television and film. Her latest role is in the film "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," set to be released in 2010. She also stars in the series "United States of Tara."
