She made her acting debut in 1969 in the film "LE PETIT BOUGNAT," while still in school during summer vacation. Adjani then worked at the Comédie-Française, where she received critical acclaim at the age of 17. However, it was her significant role in François Truffaut's film "The Story of Adele H." that brought her to the attention of the public.
