Early Life and Education

Stasys Žirgulis was born in Lithuania in 1924. He pursued his artistic education at the Kaunas Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, graduating in 1947.

Artistic Career

After graduation, Žirgulis began participating in art exhibitions in 1947. His exceptional talent soon led him to join the faculty of the Vilnius Art Institute in 1948. In 1951, the institute was transformed into the State Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR, where he eventually became a professor in 1978.
