Biography of Brian and Jenny Masch
Brian and Jenny Masch are an American couple who gained fame as reality TV stars on the show "Raising Sextuplets". The show chronicles the lives of Brian, Jenny, and their sextuplet children.
Meeting and Marriage
Brian and Jenny first met through email while Brian was serving in the United States Air Force in Kuwait. Over time, their communication evolved into a romantic relationship, and on January 2, 2004, after a year of knowing each other, Brian and Jenny got married. Their marriage seemed happy, and they hoped to have children together.
Struggles with Infertility
Unfortunately, their attempts to conceive children were unsuccessful, with Jenny experiencing two miscarriages. Undeterred, the couple decided to try artificial insemination, which proved to be incredibly successful. Jenny became pregnant with sextuplets, much to their surprise and joy.
Birth and Challenges
The sextuplets were born prematurely at 30 weeks and 4 days. They were delivered via cesarean section at the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The birth went relatively well, but complications arose afterward. Jenny suffered a heart attack and was admitted to the intensive care unit. After five days of recovery, she was finally able to visit her children who spent their first five weeks in the hospital.
Television Appearances
Before their appearance on "Raising Sextuplets", Brian and Jenny had already appeared on television. Brian proposed to Jenny during a baseball game of the "Arizona Diamondbacks", and the heartwarming moment was televised nationally. They also made appearances on "The Today Show" and Jenny participated in the game show "Deal or No Deal". The couple's journey with raising sextuplets was further explored in their own show, "OMG! Sextuplets!", which aired in 2008.
Later Life
Currently, Jenny works as a medical assistant, while Brian is involved in the medical industry, trading medical supplies and medications. They also previously managed their own real estate company. The couple initially lived in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, but later relocated to Destin, Florida.
Difficulties and Divorce
Unfortunately, the strain of raising such a large family may have taken a toll on their marriage. The couple's troubles came to a head when Brian was arrested on September 11, 2010, on charges of domestic violence, disturbance of public order, and resisting arrest. On September 17, 2010, Jenny officially filed for divorce.
Sadly, their journey on the show and as a family ended with their divorce, and it is unlikely that viewers will see a third season of "Raising Sextuplets".
