She showcased her talent by portraying characters such as Kate Pinkerton in "Madama Butterfly" and Cherubino in "The Marriage of Figaro" at the West Australian Opera. Hulcup further developed her vocal artistry at the Victorian College of the Arts, where she won several prizes for her performances in lieder competitions.
