Biography of Cam Gigandet
Cam Joslin Gigandet was born on August 16, 1982, in Tacoma, Washington. His mother, Kimberly, is a homemaker, and his father, Jay Gigandet, is a co-owner and manager of the restaurant chain "The Rock, Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits". He has an older sister named Kelsey, who works as a stylist.

Gigandet attended Auburn Senior High School, graduating in 2001. He then enrolled in Santa Monica College in California, where he joined an acting group. It was during this time that he landed his first role in the popular detective TV series "C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation", where he had a small episodic role.

In the following year, Gigandet portrayed the character of Daniel Romalotti Jr. in the dramatic series "The Young and the Restless" for seven episodes. In 2004, he played the lead role in the short thriller film "Mistaken".
Gigandet gained fame for his role as the villainous Kevin Volchok in the TV series "The O.C." He appeared in the third and fourth seasons of the show from 2005 to 2006. In 2005, he also appeared in another dramatic series called "Jack & Bobby" as Randy Bongard.
After a brief hiatus in his career, Gigandet returned to the screen in 2007 with a small role in the sports comedy film "Who's Your Caddy?". The year 2008 was significant for Gigandet as he played one of the main roles in the sports action film "Never Back Down", which earned him the "MTV Movie Award for Best Fight". He also portrayed a vampire in the first installment of the "Twilight" saga, "Twilight", which became extremely popular among audiences, grossing five times its budget. In May 2009, "Twilight" won the Best Movie award at the MTV Movie Awards, and Gigandet won the award for Best Fight.
In 2009, Gigandet appeared in the horror film "The Unborn", starring Gary Oldman, and the sci-fi thriller "Pandorum" alongside Dennis Quaid. He also had leading roles in the drama film "Five Star Day" and the action film "Easy Money".
Currently, Gigandet resides in Los Angeles. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, both European and American football, golf, skiing, and surfing. He holds a brown belt in karate and has completed a self-defense program developed by the Israeli army. Gigandet is in a relationship with his girlfriend Dominique Geisendorff, and they have a daughter named Everleigh Gigandet Ray, born on April 14, 2009.
