Biography of Carlo Pazolini
Carlo Pazolini is a renowned businessman and founder of the international footwear company, Carlo Pazolini. Born in Russia, Pazolini started his career in the early 1990s by importing Italian footwear. In 1995, he opened his first flagship store in Moscow, marking the beginning of the Carlo Pazolini retail network.

Expansion and Production
Recognizing the demand for high-quality footwear, Pazolini made the strategic decision to establish his own production facilities in Russia. By acquiring two factories in the Moscow region, Carlo Pazolini was able to manufacture a significant portion of their footwear domestically. However, due to a decline in profitability in Russian production, the company had to shift its focus away from manufacturing and instead concentrate on retail operations.
Franchising and Global Growth
In 2004, Carlo Pazolini launched a franchising program, expanding their presence beyond Russia. This initiative allowed the company to establish a strong international network of stores in countries such as Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Moldova, and others. The brand gained recognition for its high-quality products and innovative store designs.
Design Collaboration with Giorgio Borruso
In 2010, Carlo Pazolini opened its flagship store in Milan, designed by the renowned architect Giorgio Borruso. This collaboration received accolades for its innovative and surrealistic design, winning awards for "Best Store Design" and "Innovative Conceptual Design" in the retail industry. Following the success of this project, all subsequent Carlo Pazolini stores abroad were also designed by Borruso.
Global Expansion Plans
Carlo Pazolini has ambitious plans to conquer markets in the United States, Canada, and Southeast and Western Europe. Additionally, the company aims to establish a presence in Southeast Asia, considering opening stores in Taiwan, Singapore, and potentially Japan. As of August 2013, Carlo Pazolini operates a total of 231 stores worldwide, with Russia accounting for the majority of their retail network.
