Biography of Carlos Kazaryan

Carlos Kazaryan is an Armenian political and military figure who served as a Major General. He completed his education at various prestigious military academies.

Early Life and Education

Carlos Kazaryan was born in Armenia. In 1962, he graduated from the Kirov Military Academy in Orjonikidze. Later, in 1968, he attended the Moscow Military Academy named after Frunze. Kazaryan also pursued further studies at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR from 1975 to 1977.

Military Career

Kazaryan started his military career as a commander of a division from 1968 to 1969 and later served as a deputy commander of a regiment from 1969 to 1970. He then became the Chief of Staff of the same regiment from 1970 to 1974. In 1977, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Armenian SSR.

Political Career

From 1990, Carlos Kazaryan held the position of First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Armenian SSR. In 1990 to 1991, he served as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia. He continued his political involvement by serving in the Council of Ministers of Armenia from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, Kazaryan joined the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and worked in its apparatus.

Later Career

From 1997 to 1999, Carlos Kazaryan held the position of Deputy Chief Military Inspector under the President of Armenia. He then returned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia as the Deputy Minister from 1999 to 2000, marking the end of his active political career.
