The Cason Family of California
The Cason family from California has 16 children, ranging in age from 23 to 1 year old. They are currently on a desperate search for a larger home to accommodate their growing family. With 9 children attending four different schools and four more under the age of five, Christi and Dave Cason's life is a well-organized chaos.
Grocery Shopping for 18
Imagine grocery shopping for 18 people - two adults and 16 children with appetites that surpass even the adults. That's Christi Cason's reality, and she chooses the largest shopping cart available to fit all the groceries for her massive family. Christi makes bi-weekly grocery trips during her husband's paydays. Milk alone is consumed by the family at a rate of approximately 40 gallons every three days.
Family Dynamics
The Casons have 9 boys and 7 girls, with the oldest child being 23 years old and the youngest just 1 year old. In October 2013, they welcomed their 17th child. The age gap between the children is significant, with the older ones being fully grown. On February 10, 2013, Jessica, one of the daughters, became a mother herself, giving birth to a baby girl named Jaedyn, Dave and Christi's first grandchild. The curious twist is that the first grandchild is older than the youngest child.
Seeking a New Home
The Casons are eagerly searching for a larger home as their current residence has become cramped. The family was featured in an episode of TLC's reality series "Kids By The Dozen."
