Biography of Cesc Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas is a Spanish football player, a midfielder for the Spanish national team. At the age of 21, Fabregas became the youngest participant in the World Cup in the last 70 years of Spanish national team history. In 2008, he has the potential to help his team win a major trophy for the first time since 1964 when Spain became the champions of Europe.

Early Career
Fabregas was developed in the Barcelona football school, and he played for the youth teams as a defensive midfielder. Despite his position, he managed to score up to 30 goals per season occasionally. In the summer of 2003, Barcelona sent Fabregas to Arsenal in London as part of the compensation for Giovanni van Bronckhorst. While the Dutchman brought considerable benefits to Barcelona, the deal involving Fabregas and van Bronckhorst can be compared to exchanging a purebred racehorse, which will soon become a stallion and win the Derby, for a mare capable of pulling a cart well but not for many years. Considering that Fabregas is a native of Catalonia, Barcelona lost even more than Arsenal gained.

Career at Arsenal
In the 2003/04 season, Fabregas played several matches in the English League Cup, becoming the youngest player in Arsenal's history and the youngest goal scorer for the London club. In the spring of 2004, Arsenal won the national championship, but Fabregas did not participate in any Premier League matches that season, so he still does not have a winner's medal (and it is unknown when he will get one). Fabregas managed to break into the main squad of the London club in the 2004/05 season when three central midfielders of Arsenal (Patrick Vieira, Gilberto Silva, and Edu) all suffered injuries. In May 2005, Fabregas won his first significant trophy, the FA Cup, which remains the most important one for him to date.
Success and Role in the National Team
Over the past three years, Fabregas has transformed into an ideal central midfielder, adding the ability to lead the game, contribute to attacks, and finish them to his basic defensive skills. In the Spanish national team (where Fabregas became a key player during the Euro 2008 qualifiers), his central midfield partners are Xavi and Andres Iniesta. If the opponent allows these three to control the game, then there will be no chance for the opponent to play their own game.
