Chantal Strand: A Multifaceted Canadian Artist
Early Career and Acting RolesChantal Strand began her career in entertainment at a young age, performing in "Look Who's Talking Now" with her sister, Michelle. Throughout her high school and university years, she continued to land roles in various projects, including "The Outer Limits," "The Commish," "The Charlie Horse Music Pizza," "Life-Size," "Air Bud: World Pup," "Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch," and "Air Bud: Spikes Back."
Education and Writing
Strand pursued higher education, earning an Associate of Arts degree from Capilano University in 2010. She then transferred to the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts. In 2016, she completed a Master's degree in Journalism also from the University of British Columbia. She has contributed articles to The Tyee.
Voice Acting Career
Strand has lent her voice to numerous animated series, including "Dragon Tales," "Hamtaro," and "Sabrina: The Animated Series," playing characters such as Jemma, Pi, and Bernard, respectively. Notably, she voiced Lacus Clyne in both "Gundam SEED" and "Gundam SEED Destiny," additionally voicing Mira Campbell in the latter.
Recognition and Awards
In 2002, Strand was nominated for Best Supporting Performance in a Feature Length Drama at the Leo Awards. The same year, she received a recognition for her contributions to the Emmy-winning program "The New Adventures of Madeline," reprising her leading role in two feature-length films.
Recent Work and Voice Roles
Currently, Strand participates in the animated series "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic," voicing Diamond Tiara and her mother, Spoiled Rich.
