Charlene Holt, born Verna Charlene Stavely, was an American model and actress. She was born in 1928 in Snyder, Texas, USA, to Malcolm and Verna Vesta Stavely. After finishing school in Hagerman, New Mexico, Charlene stayed with relatives in Snyder while her parents moved to Washington, Texas. Eventually, she joined her parents in Houston, Texas, where she began her career as a model.

Charlene's beauty opened doors for her in the modeling world. She participated in numerous fashion shows, commercials, and even had the opportunity to travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She also worked at the famous 'Eileen Ford' agency in Manhattan. At the age of 19, she was already earning $50,000 a year, working with companies like 'Revlon'.

Like many girls in the fashion industry, Charlene dreamed of an acting career and did everything she could to be noticed by industry professionals. Charlene also appeared in popular TV shows like 'Burke's Law', 'Honey West', 'It Takes a Thief', and several others.

Among the films Charlene appeared in are the romantic comedy 'Man's Favorite Sport?' (1964), the sports action film 'Red Line 7000' (1965), the western 'El Dorado' (1966) alongside John Wayne, and the thriller 'Zigzag' (1970) directed by Richard A. Colla. In 1974, she starred in the TV movie 'Wonder Woman', and in 1980, after a long hiatus from acting, she became part of the cast of the critically acclaimed drama 'Melvin and Howard' directed by Jonathan Demme.

Charlene Holt was married to millionaire William A. Tishman from 1966 to 1972. It is notable that at the time of their marriage, Charlene, who was 38 years old, presented herself as 28 years old. After her last film in 1980, Charlene did not appear on screen again. She passed away on April 5, 1996, at the age of 67 in Williamson, Tennessee.
