Charles Frederick Albright, a serial killer from Dallas, Texas, was convicted of the murders of three women in 1991. Albright was adopted by Delle and Fred Albright, as he was not their biological child, from an orphanage. His adoptive mother, Delle, was a school teacher who was strict but always defended Charles. She accelerated his education, allowing him to skip two grades.

Albright's criminal career started at a young age. At 13, he was already committing petty thefts and was arrested for a physical assault. At 15, he graduated from high school and deceitfully gained admission to the University of North Texas. At 16, he was caught with a small amount of money stolen from a cash register, along with two pistols and a rifle. He spent the following year in prison.

After his release, he enrolled in the Arkansas State Teacher's College, specializing in pre-med to pursue a future in medical school. However, just before completing his education, he was caught with stolen items. Although the case did not go to court, he was expelled from college. Albright forged his educational documents, stealing real blanks and faking signatures, claiming bachelor's and master's degrees.

Shortly after, Albright married his college girlfriend, and they had a daughter. While his wife worked as a teacher, Albright struggled to hold down a job and continued his fraudulent activities, forging nonexistent diplomas. He was eventually caught but managed to avoid serious consequences and received probation.

In 1965, their already strained relationship led to a separation, and their divorce was finalized in 1974. Albright was later caught attempting to steal a few hundred dollars from a store and received a two-year sentence. However, he was released after only six months and began building a new life, making friends and gaining the trust of his neighbors. He offered his services as a nanny to local residents and even attempted to become a radio announcer for Arnie States.

In 1981, after the death of his mother, Albright visited friends who discovered him making advances towards their nine-year-old daughter. Concerned parents immediately reported him to the police, leading to an official investigation. Charles pleaded guilty but once again received probation, claiming innocence later on.

In 1985, while in Arkansas, Albright met a woman named Dixie and proposed that they live together. Their relationship continued as she supported him financially, while Albright spent time with prostitutes. His crimes escalated significantly. On December 13, 1990, a 33-year-old prostitute named Mary Lou Pratt was found dead in Oak Cliff. She was only wearing a t-shirt and had been shot in the back of the head with a .44 caliber bullet. The killer had surgically removed both of her eyes, leaving no traces behind.

On February 10, 1991, another prostitute named Susan Peterson became the next victim of the murderer. She was found south of Dallas, wearing only a t-shirt with her collar stretched downward to expose her breasts, similar to the previous murder. However, she received three gunshots to the head, chest, and back of the head. The forensic expert discovered that this murder bore horrifying similarities to the previous one, as both victims had their eyes surgically removed.

A similar murder took place on March 18, 1991, when a naked prostitute named Shirley Williams was found near a school. Her eyes were also removed, and she had bruises, a broken nose, and two gunshot wounds to the head. Charles Albright was arrested on March 22 of the same year and charged with these three murders. The prosecution had a challenging task of proving Albright's guilt, but the hair found at the crime scene of Shirley Williams provided compelling evidence. On December 18, Charles Albright was found guilty of three counts of murder and was sentenced to three life imprisonment terms without the possibility of parole.
