Early Life and Career
Leonie came to the sport of shooting in 2007. In 2022, she earned World Cup medals at the ISSF World Cups in Cairo and Rio de Janeiro.
European and World Championships
At the 2022 European Championships, Leonie won a bronze medal in the mixed team 10m air rifle event alongside Jan Lochbihler. She went on to secure a team silver medal in the 50m rifle three positions at the 2023 European Games in Wroclaw.
2023 World Championships
Leonie claimed two gold medals at the 2023 ISSF World Championships in Baku: one in the women's 50m rifle prone team event and one in the mixed 50m rifle prone team event with Jan Lochbihler.
2024 Accomplishments
Leonie earned her first individual World Cup medal in January 2024, taking silver in the women's 50m rifle three positions at the World Cup in Cairo. In May 2024, she became European Champion in the 50m rifle three positions at the European Shooting Championships in Osijek.
Olympic Glory
At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Leonie triumphed in the women's 50m rifle three positions, capturing her first Olympic gold medal.
