Christopher Keith Irvine, also known as Chris Jericho, is an American-Canadian actor, author, podcaster, rock musician, and professional wrestler. Born on November 9, 1970, Jericho is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and appears on its Monday Night RAW brand.
Early Life and Inspiration
Jericho's father, Ted Irvine, was a former NHL hockey player. Inspired by the ancient city of Jericho and the power metal band Helloween's album "Walls of Jericho," Jericho adopted his stage name.
Wrestling Career
Jericho has had a successful wrestling career, appearing in promotions such as World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in the United States. He joined WWE in 1999 and became the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion. Jericho holds the record as an eight-time Intercontinental Champion.
