Biography of Chris Sabin

Chris Sabin is an American professional wrestler. He began his career in Detroit in 2000 under the ring name Chris Sabin. Sabin trained at the Can-Am Wrestling school, where he quickly established himself as a promising talent in the wrestling world.

After his disappointment with his first wrestling school, Sabin was helped by Nate Mattson, also known as Amazing N8. Mattson helped Sabin transfer to the D'Amore school, where he began performing in Ontario and Michigan for local independent promotions such as BCW and GLCW. It was in these promotions that Sabin won his first title, the NWA Great Lakes Middleweight Championship, on June 2, 2001.

Sabin continued to compete in Michigan, teaming up with Truth Martini on March 12, 2002, to win the XICW Tag Team Championships. He also competed in other promotions such as MPW, NEPW, and CAPW, often teaming up with future TNA stars Frankie Kazarian and Alex Shelley.

In 2003, Sabin returned to BCW and won the BCW Television Championship. He then made his debut in TNA alongside Johnny Storm, but they were unsuccessful in the match. However, on May 14, 2003, Sabin defeated Jerry Lynn and Amazing Red to become the TNA X Division Champion. He also won the WWA Cruiserweight Championship on May 25, 2003.

Despite his success, Sabin failed to win the NWA Heavyweight Championship, but he continued to excel in the X Division, defending his title against Kazarian and Paul London. He later lost the X Division Championship but won the Super X Cup tournament. Sabin also competed in ROH, where he suffered an injury in a match against Matt Stryker.

In 2005, Sabin regained the TNA X Division Championship and also won the Super Indy Championship in IWC. He continued to compete in various promotions, including NWA Florida and PWG. Sabin also participated in the World X Cup and had a feud with Kevin Nash.

On October 22, 2006, Sabin defeated Senshi to become the TNA X Division Champion once again. However, his reign was short-lived as he lost the title to AJ Styles. Sabin then formed a partnership with Jerry Lynn, but he eventually turned heel.

Sabin had a successful run as a heel and regained the X Division Championship on January 14. He then engaged in a feud with Lynn.
