Biography of Chris Vance
Chris Vance, born George Christopher Vance in 1971 in Paddington, London, England, is a British actor. He spent his childhood in both Britain and Ireland, coming from a family with English and Australian roots. Interestingly, Vance did not publicly showcase his talents until he was twenty-five years old.
Early Career
Vance pursued a degree in civil engineering at the University of Newcastle, a field far removed from show business. However, he made his first appearance in front of the camera in the British series "Kavanagh QC." This was followed by roles in "Peak Practice" and the British television project "The Bill." Vance also acted in the Australian TV series "Stingers" and "Blue Heelers."
Breakthrough and Success
Vance experienced success with his role as Sean Everleigh in the series "All Saints." However, his popularity skyrocketed when he portrayed James Whistler in the hit series "Prison Break" during its third and fourth seasons. In June 2008, Vance began filming the FOX project "Mental," where he played the character Dr. Jack Gallagher. By the end of 2010, Vance had appeared in a total of 14 television series, with "Prison Break" and the Australian project "All Saints" being the most popular.
Other Ventures
In his free time, Vance trained the Sydney Soccer Football Academy team. He is also known to have been married from 2003 to 2007, but is currently divorced. Vance's recent works include appearances in the series "Dexter" and "Burn Notice."
