Biography of Christy Hemme
Christy Hemme is a model, wrestler, and sports manager. She started her career as a model in the support group for a Harley motorcycle tour. Hemme has appeared in music videos for famous musicians and participated in erotic photoshoots for magazines like Maxim, Playboy, Rolling Stone, and Stuff. Her real name is Christina Lee "Christy" Hemme, but she is best known by her stage name Christy Hemme. She was born on October 28, 1980.
The Model Turned Wrestler
Christy Hemme is primarily a model rather than an athlete. She entered professional wrestling as a manager for various athletes before becoming a wrestler herself. Female managers in wrestling are not common, and they have a distinct role from male managers. During matches, they stay near the ring and try to distract opponents or referees. Naturally, the requirements for such women are special. They must be beautiful, attractive, and confident. Ideally, they can dance beautifully and possess professional modeling skills. Hemme possesses all of these qualities, and it is thanks to her beauty and modeling career that she was able to make a name for herself in wrestling.
Early Life and Career
Christy Hemme was born in Poway, California, on October 28, 1980. Her father owns an insurance agency, and her mother passed away in 2002. Hemme, being a natural blonde, dyed her hair red after her mother's death since her mother had red hair. Her real name, Christina Lee Hemme, is not much different from her ring name, Christy Hemme.
Hemme grew up as a daredevil. From childhood, she was interested in motocross, including off-road racing. As a child, she enjoyed watching wrestling matches and became a cheerleader for one of the teams in school. After graduating, Hemme attended college, where she studied choreography and dance. Her career began in the modeling industry. After college, Hemme wisely moved to Los Angeles, where she quickly found work as a stripper, forming a group called "The Murrieta Angels." She worked as a model in the support group for a Harley motorcycle tour and appeared in music videos for famous musicians. Hemme also took part in erotic photoshoots for magazines like Maxim, Playboy, Rolling Stone, and Stuff.
Wrestling Career and Beyond
In 2004, Christy Hemme auditioned for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and signed a one-year contract with the company after a series of tryout matches. Knowing that serious athletic training was not necessary after her modeling career, Hemme actively participated in a series of promotional storylines. For example, she challenged Trish Stratus to a match after Stratus allegedly criticized Hemme's appearance in Playboy magazine. Hemme trained Stratus' longtime rival, Lita, and was able to defeat Stratus for the Women's Championship title. There was another storyline with Victoria, who supposedly called Hemme a rookie, and Hemme challenged her to a match. However, she lost to Victoria. In late 2008, Hemme left WWE. To cut costs, her promoters decided to move her to a training base in Ohio. Hemme refused to move and was subsequently released. By that time, she was no longer seen as a professional athlete. However, Hemme had mastered the art of promos and constantly caused scandals surrounding the matches she participated in as a wrestler or support group member. Additionally, she began developing her own music and acting career, which did not align with a move from Los Angeles to Ohio. Currently, Hemme enjoys appearing in horror films and participating in various shows. One could say that after a career as a professional wrestler and suffering a serious neck injury in the ring, Christy Hemme returned to where she began: her modeling and sports management career.
