Early Career
Born in Italy, Claudio Bellucci began his football career with Sampdoria in Serie A. He made his debut on March 13, 1994, in an away match against AC Milan, which resulted in a 1-0 loss for Sampdoria. After a season on loan at Serie C1 club Fiorenzuola, he returned to Sampdoria in 1994 and played for two seasons.
Venezia and Napoli
In 1996, Bellucci joined Venezia in Serie B. After one season there, he moved to Napoli, where he played a significant role in the club's promotion to Serie B in 1998 and Serie A in 2000.
Bologna and Sampdoria Return
In 2001, Bellucci transferred to Serie A club Bologna. During the 2004/05 season, the team was relegated to Serie B. However, Bellucci scored 19 goals in 25 games.
In 2007, he rejoined Sampdoria on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract with the option for an additional year. He scored 12 goals in 32 games before suffering a tendon injury that sidelined him for five months.
