Kleber Kleberson
Early CareerKleber Gabriel Cordova, also known as Kleberson, began his football career in the lesser-known Portuguese club, Olivais e Moscavide. After unsuccessful stints in Brazil from 2005 to 2006, he returned to Portugal.
Red Star Belgrade and Partizan (2009-2011)
On June 19, 2009, Kleberson signed a four-year deal with Red Star Belgrade. However, due to the club's financial struggles, he soon transferred to their archrivals Partizan, becoming the first such move in 20 years. Notably, he scored against his former team on November 28, giving Partizan a 2-1 victory over Red Star.
Champions League Success
Kleber's greatest achievements came in the Champions League with Partizan. He scored six goals in the qualifying rounds, including a stunning scissor-kick goal in his debut match. In the group stage, he scored twice against Arsenal, becoming the tournament's leading goalscorer by the end of the group rounds.
Transfer to Guangzhou Evergrande (2011)
In the winter of 2011, Kleberson attracted interest from Genoa, Rubin Kazan, and Guangzhou Evergrande. In late January, he expressed a desire to join Lokomotiv Moscow, but ultimately signed a contract with Guangzhou in February.
Guangzhou Evergrande (2011-Present)
Kleber joined Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League on February 12, 2011, signing a four-year contract worth a then-record fee of €3.2 million. He made his Super League debut on April 2 against Dalian Shide, scoring the winning goal.
