Clifton H.W. Maloney, the founder of C.H.W. Maloney & Co., Inc., was an accomplished mountaineer, adventurer, and businessman. His legacy as a climber reached new heights when he became the oldest person to summit Cho Oyu, an 8,000-meter peak in the Himalayas.
Early Life and Career
Born into an affluent family, Clifton Maloney attended Princeton University and Harvard Business School. After serving in the United States Navy, he embarked on a successful career in finance. He held senior positions at Goldman Sachs and directed investment funds at The Wall Street Fund and Interpool Limited.
Business Acumen
In 1988, Maloney founded C.H.W. Maloney & Co., a financial services and real estate development firm. His keen business instincts and savvy investments generated substantial wealth, allowing him to pursue his passions beyond finance.
Mountaineering and Adventure
Maloney's love for the outdoors and adventure led him to pursue mountaineering. In 2009, at the age of 71, he embarked on an expedition to climb Cho Oyu, the sixth-highest mountain in the world.
