Biography of Colin Firth

Colin Firth, a renowned British actor, was born in Hampshire, United Kingdom. His father taught history at King Alfred College in Winchester. Firth spent his early childhood in Nigeria, where his grandparents served as Methodist Church missionaries. He returned to England at the age of five.

Acting Education and Debut

Firth received his acting education at the Drama Centre in London. It was there that he made his stage debut in Julian Mitchell's play "Another Country," taking over the role of Guy Bennett from Rupert Everett. In 1984, Firth appeared in the film adaptation of the same play.
