Cristina Zenato, an Italian diver, gained fame for her dangerous dives into shark-infested waters. Known as the shark whisperer, she performs tricks with sharks that leave audiences in awe. Zenato was born in Italy and spent her childhood in the humid forests of the African Congo. It was there that she developed a deep connection with nature. Zenato works as an underwater diving instructor at The Underwater Explorers Society and spends her free time engaged in freediving and exploring underwater caves. Fluent in five languages - Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish - her greatest passion in life is sharks.

Zenato has been working with sharks for many years and has gained extensive knowledge about their behavior. Videos of her feeding large Caribbean reef sharks while they peacefully circle around her, without any intention of harming her, have amazed viewers. Furthermore, Zenato performs an extraordinary act where she flips a 3-meter shark and holds it on her palm. Rumor has it that the sharks near the Bahamas recognize and adore Zenato, allowing her to perform various tricks with them as if they were domestic cats.

Zenato's mentor and teacher was the legendary Ben Rose, under whose guidance she learned about shark behavior and how to understand and predict their actions. She has written reports and articles about sharks from various locations, including South Africa, North Carolina, Florida, and Mexico, studying the lives of different shark species such as great whites, Caribbean, and tiger sharks. One of her most astonishing tricks is putting sharks into a trance-like state by manipulating specific areas around their mouth and nose, causing them to remain motionless for several minutes. However, this trick is not recommended for inexperienced divers.

Zenato's expertise and unique interactions with sharks have garnered attention from publications such as 'Skin Diver', 'Sport Diver', 'Advance Diver Magazine', and she has appeared in numerous television and documentary projects on channels such as BBC, Discovery, Nat Geo, ABC, Science, and Nature. Despite their reputation as dangerous predators, Zenato genuinely loves sharks and believes that they are not as dangerous as commonly believed. She advocates for increasing knowledge about sharks and encourages people to treat them with respect and act responsibly. Zenato actively participates in movements and campaigns against shark destruction.

She recognizes that the ocean is a powerful force that operates by its own rules, and humans should strive to understand and respect them rather than impose their own. Zenato admits that she only feels truly good and free in the water, as the ocean offers something she can never find on the surface. "From birth, the force of gravity weighs down on humans; they are simply bound to the earth. But as soon as you immerse yourself in water, you are free," says Cristina Zenato.
