Early Years and EducationCynthia Vincent began her journey in fashion at a tender age, displaying an aptitude that would propel her to great heights. After completing her studies at Parsons School of Design, thanks to a scholarship from M.A.G.I.C., she was awarded the prestigious Silver Thimble Award by Ann Cole.
Breaking into the Fashion World
Despite her accolades, Vincent faced the fierce competition inherent in the fashion industry. Undeterred, she landed a position with Jane Ong & Co in London, where her exceptional talent quickly earned her the position of lead designer.
Return to the United States and Solo Success
Vincent eventually returned to the United States, where she collaborated with renowned fashion figures such as Harriet Selwyn. In 1993, she launched her own label, St. Vincent, which garnered immediate recognition, earning her the Rising Star Award that same year.
Expansion and Growth
After nearly two decades of solo success, Vincent launched a new brand in 2002, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent. Characterized by its refined and sophisticated designs, the line quickly became a favorite among celebrities and socialites, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Bilson, and Scarlett Johansson.
International Acclaim
In 2005, Vincent expanded the Twelfth Street line to include footwear, belts, and other accessories. Today, her products are sold through major retailers worldwide, including ShopBop.com, Revolve Clothing, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Barneys.
