Biography of Kirill Giatsintov
Kirill Giatsintov is an American chemist and the chairman of the Russian Nobility Assembly in the United States. He was born in the French town of Tarascon, near the Pyrenees, where a small Russian colony was founded. His parents, who left Russia in 1920, decided to leave their homeland when the White Army was finally defeated.

Giatsintov's father studied at the University of Prague and received a degree in chemical engineering. They were invited to move to America but declined, believing that the Soviet government would not last long and they would soon be able to return to their homeland. In 1927, the Giatsintov family moved to France, and three years later, Kirill was born. His parents made sure he only spoke Russian, but opportunities to practice the language outside of their home were limited.
During World War II, the family was sent to a concentration camp in Germany. Fortunately, they were placed in a camp for Western prisoners of war, which had better conditions than others. After the war, they decided to stay in Austria, as the northern part of Linz, where they were located, was handed over to the Russians.
In 1949, the Giatsintov family finally managed to immigrate to the United States. They settled in Syracuse, New York, where they were welcomed by the local Russian diaspora. Kirill quickly found a job, but his father was not as lucky due to the lack of insurance. Kirill later served in the Korean War and then attended university to study chemistry, specializing in polymers and plastics.
In 1970, Giatsintov established his own company, 'DRG International, Inc.' Three years later, his company organized the first exhibition of American medical equipment in Moscow. This achievement was remarkable considering the limited knowledge the average American had about the USSR at that time. Since then, Kirill has been successfully engaged in business, serving as one of the world's top intermediaries between the East and the West. He also fulfills his role as the president of the American branch of the Russian Nobility Assembly.
