Biography of Cyrinda Fox
Cyrinda Fox, born Kathleen Victoria Hetzekian on February 22, 1952, in Santa Monica, California, USA, was an American model and actress. She was known for her passionate admiration of musicians, often following them on their concert tours. Cyrinda gained the most fame through her marriage to Steven Tyler, the lead singer of the rock band Aerosmith.

Early Life and Career
Cyrinda claimed to have grown up in her Armenian family, enduring harsh treatment. She left home before completing high school and spent some time living in Texas before settling in New York City. In the 1970s, she immersed herself in the nightclub scene, particularly at the New York club "Max's Kansas City." She began her acting career and became most recognizable for her role in Jed Johnson's comedy film "Bad" in 1977, which was produced by Andy Warhol.
Although Cyrinda made a name for herself as an actress, her popularity grew due to her tumultuous romance with David Bowie. She had always idolized the Rolling Stones, which eventually led her to join the glam rock band "New York Dolls," often compared to the British band. In 1997, after years of courtship, David Johansen, the leader of the "New York Dolls," married Cyrinda. However, while both Cyrinda and David were connected through their respective management teams, she still pursued a romantic relationship with Steven Tyler.
Marriage and Personal Life
Cyrinda left David shortly after their wedding and married Steven Tyler. They had a daughter named Mia before their relationship started to crumble due to drug addiction, extramarital affairs, and physical and emotional abuse from Tyler. The American model and rock singer divorced shortly before Aerosmith returned to the stage in the late 1980s. Steven Tyler's most famous daughter, Liv Tyler, is from his previous marriage, but Mia, his daughter with Cyrinda, also gained popularity as a model and actress.
Later Years and Passing
In 1997, Cyrinda published revealing memoirs titled "Dream On: Livin' on the Edge with Steven Tyler and Aerosmith," co-authored by Danny Fields. The book received mostly negative reactions from Aerosmith fans. After its release, Cyrinda announced that a fully nude photograph of Steven would be included in the softcover edition. However, Steven Tyler won a lawsuit against Cyrinda in 1999, preventing her from publishing the photo.
In 2001, Cyrinda suffered a minor stroke. She managed to obtain free medical assistance and food vouchers, but she had no permanent residence or place to call home. Maureen Friedman organized a fundraising event for Cyrinda at the CBGB club. Confused by her former wife's situation, Steven Tyler donated one of his Aerosmith guitars with his autograph, which was sold for $5,000, benefiting Cyrinda. David Bowie also sold his acoustic guitar for the same amount to help his former lover. Additionally, Steven Tyler agreed to pay for Cyrinda's room at the Gramercy Park Hotel.
Cyrinda Fox passed away from an inoperable brain tumor in New York City on September 7, 2002.
