Daniel Parejo: Spanish Midfielder and Captain of Valencia
Daniel Parejo is a Spanish footballer who plays as a midfielder and is the captain of Valencia. He began his career with Real Madrid, playing for their reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla, before joining Queens Park Rangers on loan in 2008.
Real Madrid Debut
Parejo made his debut for Real Madrid in February 2009 against Sporting Gijón. He spent the rest of the season with the club, making a total of five appearances. In July 2009, he transferred to Getafe.
Getafe Stint
At Getafe, Parejo established himself as a regular starter. He made his debut in August 2009 and scored his first goal for the club in October 2009. He also scored against his former team, Real Madrid, in March 2010.
Valencia Signing
In 2011, Parejo joined Valencia for a transfer fee of €6 million. He made his debut for the club in the Champions League against Genk. Parejo quickly became an important player for Valencia, helping them win the Copa del Rey in 2019. He was named captain of the team in 2020.
International Career
Parejo represented Spain at the U-19, U-20, and U-21 levels. He was a member of the Spanish team that won the U-19 European Championship in 2007 and the U-21 European Championship in 2011.
