Early Life and Family

On November 23, 1987, in Tselinograd (now Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan), Daniyar Alshinov was born to educators Lazzat and an unnamed father. A few years later, they welcomed their daughter, Kamila. Alshinov's parents have been described as his moral exemplars.

Lazzat Alshinova has implemented numerous projects in her hometown, including the United States and Canada-supported Yard Hockey League for underprivileged children. She has also established the Zhandas21 Foundation, which evolved from free after-school clubs that provided support to at-risk youth.

Daniyar's father has a multifaceted past, including stints as a collective farm chairman and a landscaper. Despite denying any significant acting ability, he excels in pantomime and clown performances.

Alshinov's extended family is often featured in his social media posts, including his uncle Marat, a Ukrainian naval officer who later settled in Kyiv.

Education and Career Path

Alshinov initially pursued higher education in nuclear physics at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. He then received a scholarship through the Bolashak program to study aerospace engineering at Arizona State University in the United States. In 2019, he graduated from Arkady Raykin's High School of Performing Arts.

Despite his initial aspirations to become a cosmonaut, Alshinov pursued engineering and worked as an assistant to the president of National Company Kazakh Space Agency.

Film Career

While working as an engineer, Alshinov participated in the seminar-training "Ideas that Change the World" in 2017, presenting on space exploration initiatives. He concurrently pursued acting, appearing in films like "Rayony," "Kelinka Toozhe Chelovek," and "Vse Iz-Za Muzhikoff" as well as the TV series "Nothing Personal."

In 2017, Alshinov played the lead role in the comedy "Bolshe, Chem Kino." He then starred in the romantic comedy "5 Days Fiancé" in 2018 and its sequel, "Kelinka Toozhe Chelovek."

Alshinov's international recognition grew with his performance in the 2019 drama "Fight of Atbai," where he portrayed a bandit in a street fighting tournament. He later won the Best Actor Award - New York for this role.

The 2019 film "Black, Black Man," produced in collaboration with French filmmakers, earned both the director and Alshinov awards. The following year, Alshinov collaborated with director Adilkhan Yerzhanov on "Collective Immunity," after previously working on "Ulbolsyn."

In 2021, Alshinov starred in the Russian erotic film "Happy End" and once again worked with Yerzhanov on "Collective Immunity."

Personal Life

Alshinov has been private about his personal life, but has hinted at having a romantic partner through occasional social media posts. He has also spoken about experiencing panic attacks and a fear of death.

Recent Projects and Recognition

In 2022, the mini-series "Infinity" premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, starring Alshinov and Celine Sallette. Alshinov has also appeared in "Patriots' Time" and Yerzhanov's "Storm" and "Addemoka."
