Danna María García Osuna, born on February 4, 1978, is a Colombian actress, singer, and humanitarian.
Early Life and Education
Danna is the daughter of renowned Colombian singer Claudia Osuna. She graduated with a degree in management and public relations, while also pursuing acting studies.
Musical Beginnings
In 1994, Danna began her career as a singer with her sister Claudia in the group "Cafe Moreno." They released three albums before Danna's acting career took precedence.
Breakthrough in Acting
Danna's first major role came in 1994 with the telenovela "Café con aroma de mujer." In 1996, she became the first Colombian actress to star in a Mexican telenovela, "Al norte del corazón."
International Recognition
Danna's most notable role was in the Colombian telenovela "Pasión de gavilanes," a remake of "Las aguas mansas." Her chemistry with co-star Mario Cimarro sparked rumors of a romance. The telenovela received international acclaim and was adapted into a Mexican remake, "Fuego en la sangre."
Continued Success
In 2008, Danna reunited with Cimarro in the telenovela "Traición." She also starred in the Mexican remake of the Argentine telenovela "Sos mi vida" with Sebastián Rulli in 2008-2009.
