Early Life

Danny Huston was born on May 14, 1962, in Rome, Italy, where his father was filming the movie "Freud: The Secret Passion" at the time. His mother, actress Zoe Sallis, was of English-Iranian descent, and his parents never married. He has a sister, Anjelica, who also became an actress, and a brother, Tony, who became an actor and screenwriter. Danny studied at Somerset School in England. This was his last directing work before Danny Huston transitioned into acting. In the same year, he played a minor role in Mike Figgis' romance drama "Leaving Las Vegas" with Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue. Two years later, he portrayed Steve in Bernard Rose's adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's "Anna Karenina" with Sophie Marceau and Sean Bean in the lead roles.
