Biography of Darya Feklenko
Darya Feklenko is a Russian actress, best known for her work in theater and television. She was born in Russia and is the daughter of renowned actress Natalia Feklenko. Darya graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School in 1993, where she studied under the guidance of Avangard Leontiev.
Theater Career
After completing her education, Darya joined the Moscow Sovremennik Theatre, where she continues to perform to this day. She has been involved in various productions, including "School for Wives," "One Night Stand," "He Came," "Dear Friend," "Scandal? Scandal... Scandal!," "Kin, or Genius and Dissoluteness," "School for Deadbeats," "Mama Courage and Her Children," "The Cherry Orchard," "Caucasian Chalk Circle," "The Merchant of Venice," and many others. Darya has also participated in other theater projects, receiving critical acclaim for her role in Andrey Zhitinkin's production of "Free Love" based on Leonard Gershe's play "Butterflies Are Free."
Television and Film Career
Darya made her debut in the film industry in 1989, appearing in Valentin Mishatkin's "Lucky" and Valeriy Lonskiy's "Own Cross." In the following years, she had sporadic appearances in episodic roles. In 2006, Darya became a regular cast member of the improvisational comedy show "Thank God You're Here!" on the STS channel. The show quickly gained popularity, making Darya a recognized face among television viewers.
In 2007-2008, Darya appeared in several television series, including "Urgently in Number," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," and "Step by Step." However, her most significant success came with her role in the TV series "Wedding Ring." Darya portrayed Marina, the love interest of the character played by academician Kovalyov, an art historian. The complexity of her character and the internal struggles she faced captivated the audience.
Personal Life
Darya Feklenko is married and divides her time between Moscow and Belgium, where her husband resides. They have a son named Ivan, born in 1994, who has also shown an interest in acting. Despite her love for theater, Darya admits that she finds it more challenging to act in front of a camera compared to a live audience. She enjoys the variety that television and film roles bring to her career.
