European Champion and World Champion (2008)
2008 marked a significant year for Dreiškens. He became the European Champion in Cesana, Italy, and earned his maiden World Cup gold medal in St. Moritz.
Bronze at World Championships (2009)
At the 2009 World Championships in Lake Placid, Dreiškens helped Latvia secure a bronze medal in the four-man event.

Dreiškens briefly participated in the less prestigious European Cup before returning to the World Cup in January 2011. He promptly won a gold medal in one of the events.
