Biography of Dave Buckner

Dave Buckner was born in Los Angeles, California and later moved to Vacaville when he was 14 years old. It was in Vacaville that Dave, along with his friends from school, Jacoby Shaddix, Andy Satullo, and Will James, formed a band in 1993. They performed a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Fire" at a school talent show, and despite not winning, they decided to continue developing the band.

After replacing Satullo with guitarist Ben Horton, extensive rehearsals, and recording their debut EP, Dave went to Seattle to study at the School of Arts. However, he soon returned to California to continue playing in Papa Roach, which had gained recognition in certain circles by then. Papa Roach continued to perform at small concerts until 2000, when they signed a contract with Dreamworks and released their debut studio album, "Infest," which has sold 5 million copies worldwide to date. The album marked a turning point in the band's professional career, which still continues today.

In 2007, Buckner temporarily left the band to overcome alcohol addiction and focus on his personal life. He returned shortly after but not for long. According to Jacoby Shaddix, on January 28, 2008, Dave left the band forever by his own choice. On December 12 of the same year, it was announced that Buckner sued his former Papa Roach bandmates for not paying him the full amount of his share from the sales of the band's merchandise and albums. This indicates the strained relationship between them.

Since March 2008, Tony Palermo from Unwritten Law has taken Dave's place in Papa Roach. In the summer of 2008, Buckner formed his own band called Last Angels with his friend Jake Desrochers.

On October 25, 2003, Dave married renowned model and actress Mia Tyler, the second daughter of Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler. The wedding took place directly on the stage of an Aerosmith concert at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, surprising the audience. However, Dave and Mia divorced in July 2005.
