Early Life and Education
Dean Norris was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Jack Norris, a furniture store owner, and Rosie Norris. He has four sisters. Norris graduated from Clay High School in Indiana and later attended Harvard College in 1985, where he majored in social studies. He also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Injury and Its Impact
Norris's limp is the result of an unfortunate childhood accident. While playing football with his sisters, he was severely injured when a police car hit his leg as he ran across the street to retrieve the ball. The drivers were unaware of his presence due to his small stature. This limp was portrayed in his roles in the film "The Firm" and the television series "Breaking Bad."
Acting Career
Norris is best known for his portrayal of DEA agent Hank Schrader in AMC's "Breaking Bad" and for his role as Jim Rennie in the television series "Under the Dome." He has also appeared in numerous other films and television shows throughout his career.
Personal Life
As of May 2010, Norris and his wife, Bridget, lived near Los Angeles. They have five children.
